The corrugated sidewall conveyor belt is generally used for steep‑angle conveying, with an operating angle typically ≥30°. It can also be matched with general‑purpose belt conveyors for horizontal or short‑distance conveying (in which case partitions are generally not required).
The corrugated sidewall conveyor belt is manufactured by twice vulcanization of a base belt with a troughability not greater than 0.03, together with sidewalls and transverse partitions (which may be omitted for horizontal conveying).
Compared with similar products made by the adhesive‑bonding process, the corrugated sidewall conveyor belt produced by the twice‑vulcanization process has higher adhesive strength and better flexibility, and is less prone to cracking or detachment of sidewalls and partitions during use, thus greatly extending its service life.
